TETSIAD President Kucukcalik, “The home textile and decorative products have a volume of 10 billion dollars in domestic market. We expect a 2 billion dollars of trade volume at Home&Tex Fair.”
The premiere edition of Home&Tex Show of Istanbul, second to Evteks, will be held at CNR EXPO, Istanbul, November 14-17, 2013. Organized by CNR Sectorial Fair Organizaton, a CNR Holding company, in collaboration with Turkish Home Textile Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association (TETSIAD), the first edition of Home&Tex Fair will be held on a wide area as 80 thousand square meters with the participation of over 300 exhibitors to generate 2 billion dollars trade.
10 billion dollars volume
Talking about the potential of Turkish home textile and decorative items, TETSIAD President Yasar Kucukcalik said that these sectors have a great volume of 20 billion dollars in the domestic market. He stress that the Home&Tex Fair would generate minimum 2 billion dollars of trade. He said: “We target a functionality that 10% of this potential would be generated in our fair. The event will also generate a positive power for the firms which make foreign trade. We believe that the wholesalers, retailers and decorators who will mainly come from Middle East and Europe and visitors from C.I.S. and North Africa will make very fruitful contacts with the exhibitors.”
Home&Tex good for “Contract Business”, too!
Pointing out that the companies operating in the fields of contract areas such as office, hospital and housing projects, Yasar Kucukcalik said that Home&Tex would be a good venue for the textiles and decorative items used in hotel, restaurant, café, boat, yacht, etc. industries. Kucucalik said that for the first time in Turkey there would be a trend area prepared by Turkish designers. “The world home textile trends are set by Turkey. The fact that the Turkish designers will prepare the trend area in this fair is a good indication of this,” Kucukcalik asserted.
We target world leadership
Speaking on his part, Cem Senel, CEO of Fairs Group of CNR Holding, said that the team who is behind the global success of Evteks has become very successful in Home&Tex, too. He said, “There is no other fair in the home textile and supplementary decorative items in Turkey. Our fair committee, which has TETSIAD in it, pushed the button in this field. The fair assumes a great role not only for domestic market but also for foreign trade when the developments in the sector and target markets are concerned. We believe that this fair will start a new era in the trade of sectors and design. There will be standard same-style stands for home textiles and contract textiles for the first time in the Turkish exhibition industry. We target to make it the largest show of its kind in Turkey.”
