HOMETEX excitement in the home textile sector

The home textile industry will welcome spring with HOMETEX – Home Textile and Accessories at Istanbul Expo Center, 17-21 May 2022.

The most important actors of the home textile industry in the world will come together at the HOMETEX Home Textile and Accessories Fair, which will be held at Istanbul Expo Center between 17-21 May. HOMETEX, which will be held for the 26th time this year by the Turkish Home Textile Industry and Business Association (TETSIAD) and KFA Fair Organization, will be the first and largest fair organization in the home textile sector after the pandemic. The fair, which will take place in a closed area of 200 thousand square meters with the participation of hundreds of local and foreign brands, is preparing to bring together qualified purchasing committees from all over the world with the representatives of the Turkish home textile industry.

“It will be an exhibition suiting with the size of the industry”

İbrahim Burkay, Chairman of the Board of Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO), said that they would organize a world-class fair that suits the size of the home textile industry. Stating that HOMETEX would strengthen the competitiveness of the Turkish home textile industry in the global arena, President Burkay said, “HOMETEX will be the first major event held worldwide in the home textile industry after the pandemic. We are continuing the preparations for the fair, which we will organize in collaboration with TETSIAD and KFA Fair Organization, with great care. We continue our commercial diplomacy activities for the promotion of the fair worldwide. With the support and coordination of the Ministry of Commerce, we will organize procurement committees within the scope of International Competitiveness Development (UR-GE) Projects. In addition, we determine the foreign buyers we will invite to the fair, from Poland to Senegal, from the Netherlands to Chile, with the contributions of our diplomatic representatives abroad and the detailed studies of our fair committee. With qualified procurement committees, trend areas and seminars from all over the world, HOMETEX will host the establishment of new collaborations that will contribute to the development and growth of the industry.”

“The fair will provide very significant contributions to production and export”

Şekib Avdagiç, Chairman of the Board of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, said that the HOMETEX Home Textile and Accessories Fair would continue to bring new horizons to the sector. Stating that ITO has made a very serious investment in the Istanbul World Trade Center and turned it into a world-class exhibition center, Avdagic said: “We have made an infrastructure that can host all important fairs at the Istanbul Expo Center. The HOMETEX Fair, which will be held in home textiles, one of our sectors that shines in exports, will also be a turning point for the history of Turkish fairs. HOMETEX will continue to be one of the most important meetings of the world in its field with the quality of the stands and products, its rich content and the purchasing committees. With the contribution of the Turkish Exporters Assembly and our exporters’ associations, HOMETEX will make a very important contribution to the production and export of the home textile industry.”

“Stronger and more participant”

Hasan Hüseyin Bayram, Chairman of the Board of the Turkish Home Textile Industrialists and Businessmen Association (TETSİAD), said that they would organize HOMETEX, one of the two largest fairs in the world in the home textile industry, for the 26th time after a two-year break. Expressing that they are preparing to organize a world-renowned fair with the slogan of “Stronger and More Participant” in cooperation with KFA Fair Organization, Bayram said, “As TETSIAD, we are developing very important projects in order to contribute more to the development and export of our home textile industry. HOMETEX Fair will generate an important added value for our Turkish home textile industry, which has an annual export capacity of 3.1 billion dollars to more than 190 countries. There is a great demand for HOMETEX, which will be the first major organization in the home textile industry during the pandemic, both at home and abroad. Our fair, which we will organize with the active participation of our business world, will strengthen the competitive position of our home textile industry in the global arena, while also enabling the development of export and commercial connections.”
