Ravanda Carpet targets Scandinavian Countries’ and North African markets

In 2024, Ravanda Carpet accelerated its efforts to become more effective in both export and domestic markets with the launch of operations at its new production facilities. Mustafa Uzanır, a member of Ravanda Carpet’s Board of Directors, stated that the designs are inspired by nature and Anatolia, and emphasized that platforms like CFE Istanbul and Heimtextil fairs are invaluable for establishing strong global connections.

Can you share details about your new collections?

Our products are designed with features like UV protection to prevent color fading, washability, and easy portability. We draw inspiration from both nature and the rich cultural heritage of Anatolia, resulting in timeless designs. In our new collections, natural tones, sustainable materials, and innovative weaving techniques take center stage. While offering elegance for interior decoration, we have developed durable and aesthetic options for outdoor spaces. We also offer customizable models tailored to special customer requests.

What are your expectations from the CFE Istanbul fair?

CFE Istanbul is a significant meeting point for our industry and a great opportunity for us. At the fair, we aim to meet new customers, strengthen our relationships with existing partners, and promote our brand to a wider audience. CFE has surpassed some of the major fairs in Germany over the years, hosting numerous local and international producers and buyers. This fair is an invaluable platform for keeping up with the latest industry trends and strengthening our global connections.

How important is the Heimtextil fair for exports? What are your thoughts on it?

Heimtextil is one of the most prestigious fairs in the textile sector worldwide. It plays a crucial role in increasing our brand’s recognition in international markets and expanding our export volume. To achieve a strong position in the European market and establish new collaborations, the products we showcase at this fair play a vital role. Beyond attracting new customers, we also exchange ideas with other players in the industry to take innovative steps forward.

Will exports increase with the new facility? Which regions and countries are you focusing on?

Absolutely. With our new facility, we anticipate a significant increase in our export volume. Currently, we have a strong presence in European countries, the Middle East, and the Americas. We are also preparing to expand into new markets such as Scandinavian countries and North Africa. Our new production capacity provides a major advantage in reaching these goals. Responding quickly and efficiently to customer demands in these regions forms the cornerstone of our growth strategy.

Any final thoughts?

As a third-generation family business, we are committed to advancing our weaving expertise with science and technology. Innovation and quality are always at the forefront of our design and production philosophy. By blending tradition with modern aesthetics, we continue to stand out in the industry. Customer satisfaction remains our top priority, and we constantly strive for improvement in this regard. With our new facility and collections, we aim to strengthen our position in both domestic and international markets. Additionally, we will continue to invest in R&D and sustainability projects to further enhance our leadership in the sector.
