Global Marketing Expert Selim Şentürk, who has years of experience across various industries, especially the carpet sector, shares insights about his new agency, WWM, in Decor magazine.
You’ve spent many years in advertising and marketing services, particularly to the carpet industry, and have contributed to numerous projects. How did WWM come to life?
I’ve worked in the diamond industry, stock exchanges, financial institutions, and the media sector, before dedicating 12 years to the carpet industry. Over the last 20 years, my career has been focused on brand management and advertising. Most recently, I stepped down as the Marketing Director for the Royal – Pierre Cardin and Atlas Carpet Group to establish my agency, WWM. With WWM, I aim to deliver comprehensive 360-degree brand management services to companies. At the same time, I continue to teach Global Marketing as a lecturer at Istanbul Kültür University.
How did the idea for WWM come about after all this professional experience? Could you tell us more about that journey?
Let me start by saying this: the era of old-school branding is over. We are all exposed to an overwhelming amount of advertising daily, making it harder than ever to grab people’s attention. Standard social media posts and one-dimensional ad campaigns are no longer effective at interest or making a difference. Even Instagram’s ever-evolving algorithm no longer favours monotonous content.

We frequently hear complaints like, “Our posts aren’t engaging enough,” “Our likes are too low,” or “Our reach is declining.” WWM was founded to address exactly this feedback. Our goal is to implement engaging, standout social media and advertising strategies supported by budget-friendly, yet innovative and impactful projects. Through this approach, we aim to differentiate ourselves and the brands we work with.
What kind of services do you offer by WWM?
At WWM, we go beyond meeting brands’ needs — we rewrite their stories. Through our projects in digital media, brand storytelling, social media, PR, brand experiences, and advertising, we not only help brands be seen but also ensure they stand out and remain memorable in their industries.

With my personal experiences, agency background, and past successful projects, I have a clear understanding of clients’ needs and can develop tailored solutions for them.
