Can you give us general information about Kasmir Halı? Where does your company stand in the carpet sector? Kasmir Halı has started its operations in the year of 2005 as the subsidiary of Gulsan Holding with the goal of being the leader of carpet market. At Kasmir Halı’s plant built over 80.000 sqm area, carpets are manufactured from acrylic, polyester, polypropylene yarns having 18 different qualities for the domestic market within the facilities equipped with modern technology.

The purpose of Kasmir Halı providing service with wide size, design and color range according to each budget and taste is to provide the highest quality at all stages from production to after-sales services. Serving with nine regional dealers and more than 1200 sales points in land, Kasmir Halı is a corporation realizing a production at world standards thanks to its technologic superiority. With the help of these outstanding features we have, we will be working fearlessly to proceed more by reinforcing our position at the highest level in the sector. Can you give us information about your production capacity and facilities? We have giant machinery where any kinds of innovations related to the sector are followed and latest technology is taken advantage of.

Thanks to this machinery, we achieved 8 million square meter production in total in the domestic market and exportation in 2013. We will sustain our investments also in 2014. Together with this, we will continue increasing our production capacity by adding new machines to the machinery. At the same time, we would like to express that Gulsan Holding which we are affiliated with has one of the biggest polypropylene yarn production facilities in the world and supplies products to many different firms in the domestic market.

What are the reactions you received from customers for the latest products? Did you reach the sales objectives you set? R&D studies are for sure a must for development and following the technology closely. R&D is the most pivotal unit within Kasmir Halı since its establishment. Accordingly, we have a qualified team who examines all relevant sectors (home textile, furniture and decoration) and has forecasts and visions to come into fashion in the carpet sector for the following periods. One of the most important issues we prioritize is customer satisfaction. The most effective way to enable customer satisfaction is after-sales services. For the following periods to come, we know that these services will create a major impact on the purchase preferences of customers.

Within this frame, our investments continue to accelerate and improve our processes despite we think that we are doing our best to satisfy our customers. Especially, customer satisfaction will reach to the climax with the investments and determination we will make use of in 2014. What kind of products do you have in your product range? Do you make production only for residences? Within our product range, we have products made of acrylic, polyester, polypropylene yarns at various densities and height of loops. While preparing our product range, the most important matter we take note of is providing affordable products for every section and budget.

Except the carpet production for residences, we manufacture carpets for social areas like mosques, hotels, dormitories, schools, etc. We are especially assertive about the production of mosque carpets. And we proved this by manufacturing the carpets of Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa in 2011. What are the products and their features to be offered to the taste of consumers in the New Year by Kasmir Halı? Our collections like Ziynet, Terracota and Esperanza produced in 2013 made a hit among the consumers. The patterns and colors used in these collections created a new fashion in the carpet sector. Our priorities in 2014 are also developing products to create such fashion. Besides these, we will keep on developing competitive and sales oriented products. Moreover, by making pattern and color changes on the current products, we will lend impetus to our products. As a person who has years’ experience, how do you evaluate 2013? How was 2013 in terms of your company? 2013 passed with fierce competition in the carpet sector as in all other sectors. With the new companies entering into the sector, the issue of market share has become vital. Kasmir Halı proved being one of the most important companies in this sector by increasing its market share in 2013. In parallel with the growth in domestic market, we continue growing also in the foreign markets and existing in the sector as the most important player in meeting world’s carpet demand.

What are the objectives and plans for 2014? How much export and sales do you plan to make? Retaining the customer satisfaction via developing new products and directing the carpet sector will be our priorities in 2014 as in the previous years. Together with this, as a result of the investments and studies we have been carrying out since our establishment, we are among the first 500 industrial enterprises according to data provided by ISO. We owe this success only to carpet sales. This justified pride will motivate the family of Kasmir Halı and provoke us into achieving more by working harder. The most significant plan of us will be growing and increasing in terms of internal market and export sales by sustaining the successful performance we displayed in previous years in also 2014.
