Receiving Pierre Cardin license, Royal Hali began to serve all over the world. Declaring that they work as sales team and designers team under the same roof, Aydogan Yildir, Assistant General Manager, said that they aim to be one of the world’s best known brands. Highlighting carpet, which is basic unit of Turkish culture, turned into an important design object rather than forming a fund, Yildir shared his comments about the carpet industry and Royal Hali.
Could you introduce yourself?
I was born in 1968 in Develi, the town of Kayseri. I completed primary, secondary and high school education in Develi. Later, I graduated from the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences in Ankara and entered to the carpet industry in 1990. I have been doing marketing, regional director and domestic sales and marketing manager for 23 years of my business in the carpet industry. I have been Deputy General Manager in Royal Hali and Pierre Cardin Hali since 2009.
Could you give general information about Royal and Pierre Cardin Hali? What is the role of your company in the carpet industry?
Royal Hali was founded in 2005 and has licensed Pierre Cardin to market all over the world. Both our two companies act independently. These two countries act from design to sales force, from advertising agencies to dealer network under the same roof independently.

Royal carpet performs to fulfill an innovative mission. We received several innovation awards almost every year since inception of the company, following:

– 2008 Bamboo Yarn Carpet Manufacturing Project for R & D and innovation Award,
– 2009 Antibacterial Carpet Manufacturing Project for R & D and innovation Award,

We have focused on the design in our Pierre Cardin Hali. We always offer different featured carpets to consumers with our two brands. When we started this business we aimed to set the trends not follow them and we are company which imitated most currently. There is an expectation in all carpet fairs so that what Royal Hali and Pierre Cardin Hali would exhibit that year. We are proud of it. Counterfeits are always available, properties we design in our carpet would become dynamics of the industry. Fortunately for us, we got standards higher in the carpet and continue in this direction. Yes, we’re a team, and excited, it reflects to our carpets. Royal Hali is at 413 of the top 500 companies in Turkey. While we are at it this way, we aim to be popular and known in the carpet industry for 5 years in Turkey, and 10 years world over. Fortunately, we are happy to get it. As Royal and Pierre Cardin Hali, we do not follow trends but we set the trends, we received the awards every year, won the admiration of the consumer and various organizations. Also, our sales abroad is increasing every day And we export 20% of our annual production. Also now, we export to more than 30 countries.

What kind of products do you offer in your product range?
We produce and market innovative and products with containing parts from life with our Royal Hali brand, we offer design-oriented products with our Pierre Cardin Hali brand.
What are the considerations that you pay attention when you design your products?
As we design we utilize everything from nature and things that may affect human life. Using colors that set trends in our carpet since first day, we contain pieces from life in our products. For examples, Samba (we received innovation award two years in a row.), Kelebek, Natura (three-dimensional carpet), Bamboo (natural antibacterial) and Bamboss series are products are produced in this sense.
Could you talk about your products in the latest collection?
I would like to mention about our Autumn-winter, products we made for the trade fairs. We designed Royal Meva, which was not done before and a new colorful group, Nelumbo, which is made of terry acrylics fabric, in our Marine Group and also we added new patterns to our existing product quality. Featuring gray and brown harmony, we also add Venice quality in our product quality as well as our existing carpet pattern in our Pierre Cardin brand. We reflect our tiles art, which comes from past, to carpet with our Viento model. Finally, we have completed the collection on our quality lacking with Pescara model in which more soft and pastel shades are used.

Could you inform us about your after-sales services?
We’re 100 % committed to customer satisfaction. We sometime make survey companies to research at various times on the carpet. According to that, we see that people are looking for the hygiene on products first of all and we focused on it. As a results of our R & D team research, we started to produce antibacterial, three effective protected, approved by health establishment for the first time carpets. We satisfy our customers in this regard, then we saw expectations about patches. Thereupon, we are engaged in sigorthalı application, which is a first in the world. The application includes user errors completely and our carpet are insured against stains, tears, cuts, burns, flood and theft rugs unconditionally for 1 year.
What are the recent activities?
Being continuously dynamic in the sector, we design innovative products and we want to be different from our competitors. So, opening 250 showrooms at the beginning of the year, we aim to be one step ahead and we reached 200 showrooms with our dealers. We aim to reach the number of 250 showrooms by year-end.
With decision we make in the spring, we were the first company, which is offered to public, in the carpet industry. Renewed our agreement with Gaziantep, we are in Beko basketball and league Eurochallence as sponsorship.
Finally, what would you like to add?
As Royal carpet, we will continue to offer products in line with consumer expectations. Using antibacterial, three effective properties of other companies, make us happy. I wish all companies to attach importance to the R & D activities, contribute our work about forming standards. Thus, I think Turkish people would live in a cleaner and calmer space.
