Aktif Tekstil, one of the established trading companies of Gaziantep, was founded in 1948 to meet Turkey’s and Gaziantep’s textile industry’s need of fiber and yarn.
Throughout the years, the company has developed its product range and customer network by following the evolutions, innovations and investments in its area. Today, Aktif Tekstil has been serving also export markets beside its local and national trading activities and targeting a business volume of over USD 100 million by 2015.
INDUSTRIAL INITIATIVE: POLYPROPYLENE BCF YARN
Besides its success in trading activity, Aktif Tekstil has started an industrial activity by 2012 and today is executing the planned investment and growth. Starting at 1985, the carpet production at Gaziantep has shown a fast and tenacious evolution and growth and has became one of the important centers in the world. This advancement has played an important role in the increase of trade activities of Aktif Tekstil and has provided the facility to follow up closely the structure, potentials and opportunities of the carpet industry.
In 2012, Aktif Tekstil has decided to establish a POLYPROPYLEN BCF carpet yarn plant of a capacity of 9.000 tons per year on a 25.000-sqm area. The project has been realized the same year by the investment on new advanced technology machines. Having a successful start and industrial performance during the last 3 years, Aktif Tekstil has succeeded to set up its sales organization and to sell to domestic and foreign markets. Experiencing over the years the development of its customer’s activity and considering the global importance of the DOMOTEX exhibition at Hannover Germany, Aktif Tekstil is attending regularly to the show and looks for expanding its product and customer network.
NEW VENTURE: POLYESTER BCF YARN
Targeting to broad its product portfolio by its innovative approach, Aktif Tekstil has taken a new initiative to manufacture POLYESTER BCF yarn. Investing to the most advanced technology machines, Aktif Tekstil has started the production in 2015. With this new opening, Aktif’s total production capacity has reached 12.500 tons per year. This initiative is also intending to smooth the path of the product development of Turkish carpet industry.
