Eren Saçak started to produce fringe in 2018 with nearly 40 years of experience in the sector and continued to grow rapidly in a short time. Gokhan Ozbag, member of the Board of Directors, said that they have exported their products to Asia, Middle East and Balkan countries and evaluated their achievements in the markets.
What would you like to say about the last period as a company?
Eren Sacak increased capacity from 25 tons to 40 tons per month. This production capacity will increase as a result of our work in the future. Our experienced staff working in our company, always try to get our quality up.
What kind of fringes do you produce for carpets? What are their features?
We follow the fashion for carpets every year and act together with carpet manufacturers. With R&D studies, we design and present the fringes that best suit the current carpet models. In general, we produce our fringes with cotton, acrylic and polyester yarns. There are also special fringes that are tied by hand. I mean, we’re making art, obviously.
What is the importance of fringe for carpet? Why are fringes used on some carpets and not others?
Just as the frame is indispensable in a painting, it is indispensable in the fringe and carpet. Because we really add visuality to carpets. The appearance of the carpets changing to new dimension with a fringe. It is entirely a matter of preference that some carpets have fringes and some do not. Some countries do not prefer fringes in a carpet. However, some countries, like our Anatolian people, are accepting fringes in a carpet like culture that has come from the past.
Which countries and regions do you export to?
Our company exports mostly to Asia and Middle East countries. Although the number of customers increases day by day, we aim to reach them in more countries and regions in the new year.
Could you give information about your production capacity and production power?
There is a monthly production of approximately 400-450 tons in Turkey. We cover about 10% of this. This corresponds to 40 tons. According to the demand of our customers, this figure will increase in the future.
We are in a good position as an industry. We will take up our position in this industry, obviously.
