Exportation figure, which was 1.556.416, 353 Dollars last year has reached 1.762.823, 461 Dollars by increasing at the rate of %13 according to the 3rd quarter exportation and importation data announced by Turkey Furniture Industrialists Association (MOSDER).
Turkey Furniture Industrialists Association (MOSDER), has announced the 2014 year 3rd quarter figures. %13 increase compared to the last year in furniture exportation has emerged according the announced data. It has been emphasised that Turkey will be among in the first 10 exporters in the next 5 years by predicting that furniture exportation, growing at the rate of %16 for the last two years, will maintain to increase in the upcoming periods. Turkish furniture industry aims at 10-billion-dollars exportation in 2023.
‘We will be in top 5 in 2023…’
MOSDER President İsmail Doğan has made some explanations about the subject; ‘2014 is a productive year for furniture sector. We get one step further to our goals. We hope that the figures will go up in the last quarter of 2014 year with above and beyond effect of MOSDER Furniture Festival we held and think that we are advancing in the right way to reach 10-billion-dollar exportation goal in 2023.’
Exportation figures increase at %1 rate compared to last year
Exportation figure, the most essential reflection of Turkish furniture sector development, increased at %1 rate in 2014 year 3rd quarter compared to last year. The increasing of furniture production with internal dynamics provides exportation figures’ being in the average value. Exportation figures have proved that furniture sector is one of the most important locomotive sectors in Turkey.
